Printing on Canvas

Still a popular choice, the canvas we use is a polycotton High White 350gsm Archival quality canvas making it ideal for the reproduction of Photographic images and Artwork where high detail is required, whilst still retaining the qualities of a true canvas. After printing, we heatseal a UV resistant film over the image protecting your artwork from the riggers of daily life (sticky fingers, red wine etc.) It is then stretched by hand over a triangular finger jointed 40mm or 30mm pine frame (deeper frames are available too) and finished on the back with tape and a hanging system, either string or flush fitting hangers.

Both 315gsm Acid Free Archival Fine Art papers are 100% Cotton, one a Rough Textured, giving the look of a watercolour paper, the other a Smooth Cotton High White.

Both papers are also use in photographic printing, giving an extra rich feel, more noticeable in black & white images.

Printing for Photographers 180gsm and 260gsm

Alt

We have an economical 180gsm photo matt paper that we use for printing when the image is being framed by us. It’s a lighter weight paper with a high white matt finish where we use a matt black instead of photo black ink for printing. This gives the blacks a very dark, almost sooty look, which is then enhanced behind the glass leaving a rich smooth finish to the picture. The paper is also used when producing our “Floater” frames. (Information can be found under the “Framing” tab)

We have two papers in the photographic range, both are 260gsm papers, one a gloss the other a Lustre/Satin. As the title suggests these are more suited to photographic printing, but we are happy to print any image on either paper!
